We strongly advise you to give more importance to the project on which you want to work rather than to the destination. Do not confuse alternative tourism and volunteering. Those are two different activities. Do not choose looking for the other: you would be disappointed!
The success of your stay mainly depends on your involvement in the project. It is much more important than the landscape around you. Do not hesitate in exploring the less touristic countries. Their projects are as interesting as others!
